On the 27th of November, we students from HAK & HTL Freistadt (1st and 2nd year) attended a performance of “The Makeover” at the Salzhof Freistadt. The English play combined humor, romance, and self-discovery.
The play begins with the graduation of a fashion student named Ali, who is interviewed by another student. During this interview, she tells the audience about her most significant project during her studies.
The story follows a quirky but funny young man named Harry, who is the roommate of Ali’s boyfriend, as he seeks the attention of his crush. To help him, Ali offers tips, guiding him through a series of makeovers and lessons in behavior. As the plot unfolds, the two share comical and heartwarming moments. What starts as a simple quest for romance takes a surprising turn, as they discover a deeper connection and fall for each other.
All of us really enjoyed the performance. It was very entertaining, and we laughed a lot, especially during the funny scenes. Afterwards, many students stayed behind to take pictures with the four actors or to talk to them. Everyone seemed interested and excited about meeting real actors in person. It was a great experience for all of us.
